About Us

UK Film Academy is a well-established, affordable, independent award-winning film and theatre school for students aged 5-18 years running 5 centres of excellence in Portsmouth, Fareham and Southampton. Additionally we run adult acting classes and mummy and me class at our Whiteley location.

We believe that all our students have unique qualities and talents, and our weekly classes are designed to nurture, engage and encourage the development of the individual young person’s talents including-aspiring pop stars, budding actors or technical film crew through varied creative projects with the support and knowledge of our tutors, all of whom are highly experienced specialists within the industry and have excellent reputations within their fields. All our tutors are fully DBS checked.

The Creative Work

UK Film Academy students are given the opportunity to engage in a variety of projects through the year Films, Documentaries Music Videos, also to take part in our own in-house Internet Series, Film Festival work and Live talent Shows.

Professional Work

All students at no extra fee can register with our associate children’s UK Agent with possibilities of appearing in major commercial films and television programmes.

Students also have the opportunity this year to audition to take part in a feature film with our Associate Production Company to be released on Netflix.

Oscar Nights & Film Premiere

We hold various exciting events throughout the year including students attending their own Hollywood style film Premiere at Odeon cinemas and Grand Oscar nights at The Hilton Hotels.

UK Film Academy’s aim is not just to give screen acting and Production experience, but also to build confidence and lifelong friendships to take forward on their life journey.

All our tutors are professional actors and crew within the film industry, and have full insurance and DBS. We have been working with young people for 18 years. Students are separated into age groups and each age works with a separate tutor.
